The best place to find unbias information on new construction of homes and townhouses in Richmond, VA and surrounding counties of Chesterfield, Henrico, Hanover, Powhaton, Goochland and others. Links to builder websites and up to date information via my blog on communities. I do not represent any of these communities, brokers, or builders, but am a Licensed Realtor in VA representing the buyers of new construction.
The process of buying and building a new home can be very intimidating and very exciting. The mere thought of a gorgeous kitchen, huge closets, open floor plan and all the other modern amenities will lure the best of us into the impeccably staged model homes of the builders. You will need to decide on the communty, the builder, the floor plan and finally all the options that you would like to add. Some builders will include certain options and/or offer a credit toward other options. But they can add up fast increasing your purchase price significantly. You can not ask enough questions. And it is best to have a buyer's agent with you.

Richmond Redevelopment and Housing Authority
If you are looking for new houses under $200,000 be sure to take a look at what the Richmond Redevelopment and Housing Authority has to offer. The attached link is very useful in explaining their programs which could include financial incentives such as downpayment assistance and closing costs.
