The new construction season is really showing signs of improvement. Today it was reported that East West Communities that developed Brandermill, Woodlake and Patriots Landing has purchased the undeveloped portion of the Hallsley subdivision in Midlothian. The subdivision began development in 2006 but came to a halt when the economy slowed. There are only 100 homes occupied. See the link below for the full story from the RTD

The process of buying and building a new home can be very intimidating and very exciting. The mere thought of a gorgeous kitchen, huge closets, open floor plan and all the other modern amenities will lure the best of us into the impeccably staged model homes of the builders. You will need to decide on the communty, the builder, the floor plan and finally all the options that you would like to add. Some builders will include certain options and/or offer a credit toward other options. But they can add up fast increasing your purchase price significantly. You can not ask enough questions. And it is best to have a buyer's agent with you.
